Penn State cold presses with the Kern Kraft oilseed press and operates tractors on SVO

Penn State and New Holland Company are testing biofuels in farm tractors. Glen Cauffman, Manager of Farms and Facilities at Penn State purchased the Kern Kraft KK40F the summer of 2008 and is now producing cold pressed canola oil. This oil will be used for biofuels.   Cauffman plans on supplying Penn State foodservice with canola oil and then converting the used oil to Biodiesel.  This will showcase the sustainability of farm pressed oil.
